CompressionA compression fitting is used to connect two pipes or a pipe to a fixture or valve. It is made up of a compression nut, compression ring, and a compression seat. The nut slides into the pipe, then the compression ring. When the nut is tightened, the compression ring presses into the seat and causes the seat to compress against the pipe and the compression nut. A watertight connection is created. |
