Copper

Copper pipes have replaced the use of steel pipes in most modern domestic water piping. Because copper is relatively non-toxic, doesn’t corrode, and - is relatively soft and easy to work with it is a more popular choice than iron or lead pipes as well. Its 8 and 10 mm sizes are used for micro-bore central heating systems. Its 12 and 15 mm sizes are used for connections to individual taps and appliances. Its 22, 28 and 35 mm sizes are used for long runs.
