HubHub gears (also called internal gear hubs) are a kind of bike gear system. Hub gears are found on utility bikes as well as many small-wheeled bikes like folding bikes. A process called internal planetary gearing runs hub gears. This means that the outside casing of the hub gear, attached to the spokes, turns faster or slower than the rear wheel's axle, depending on the gear selected. |
